About Us
| Demand for emergency care has been rising relentlessly,
and is the subject of much concern at operational, clinical and
political levels. Yet despite considerable investment in introducing
changes in service delivery to meet rising demand and patients’
needs, many innovations in emergency care neither build on the evidence
base nor include formal evaluation. To address this problem, TRUST
was established as one of nine thematic research networks in Wales.
However, unlike the other Welsh networks TRUST
does not have a UK equivalent and is therefore very keen to establish
links and collaborate with many colleagues nationally. TRUST is composed of representatives from across the whole spectrum of emergency and unscheduled care, including accident and emergency, the ambulance service, NHS direct Wales, social care, GP out of hours, service providers and users, policy makers and academia. The TRUST network is supported by the research structure Clinical Research Collaboration Wales (CRC Cymru). |
